“2nd Innings by Shakoor” is, in fact, a new chapter in my long journalistic journey spanning 45 years. You could say that I am now stepping into a new experience altogether.

Launching my personal website is certainly an entirely new endeavor for me.

The purpose behind starting this new chapter is to establish a direct and meaningful connection with you through purposeful journalism and to ensure that my writings — including commentary, analysis, and interviews — can reach you more easily. These will be regularly available for you to read and watch.

Throughout my long career in journalism, you have followed me as the sports correspondent for BBC Urdu Service in Pakistan. That journey lasted 30 years. Now, you see me on the YouTube channel “2nd Innings by Shakoor”, and this website is an extension of that — a step toward further advancing and strengthening the mission of Second Innings.
